Hi there,

My first thing in the morning is to make myself a cup of tea with one of those kettles.

When you are still sleepy and drooling, you do not want to watch a kettle to make sure to turn it off before it boils.the kettle whistler

This and 15 years in the hospitality (tea) trade taught me a few things about this helpful kitchen appliance.

The principle of a programmable kettle is always the same, but the implementations vary hugely.

This website is the perfect vehicle to pass on my extensive and otherwise useless knowledge of programmable kettles.
With helpful product reviews (like this one), blogs and comparison tables, I want to provide useful information and guidance.

Writing about water capacity, temperature range, and boil-dry-protection can be dull and hard-going.
Therefore, I included little stories here and there, silly observations and random bits of history to make it more entertaining.

It shouldn’t take away from the otherwise useful information and competent guidance you will receive on this website.

I will leave you with a quote from George Carlin:

Don’t sweat the petty things, and don’t pet the sweaty things.

All the best

Martin
